At Decorluc we have been present at the Riu’s 25th anniversary in Mexico, through its latest hotel in the country, specifically on a paradise in the Yucatan peninsula: Costa Mujeres. A few kilometers from the world-renowned Cancun, the Riu Latino hotel finds its place.

An accommodation with its almost 600 rooms for which we have created lamps with woven structures, luminaires that emulate nature and metal pieces, molded by hand, to give light to every corner of the hotel.

The decorative lighting projects it has already been developing for benchmark hotel and restaurant chains throughout Europe, America and Asia have been joined by other designs for companies in the retail market and residential properties in Mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands.

A company engaged in the manufacture and design of tailor-made decorative lighting products, Decorluc continues to grow with 10 new major projects at highly prestigious establishments in Spain and overseas during the first half of 2022. The Riu and Meliá hotel chains, and more recently the H10 hotel chain, have trusted the company to design the lighting for new establishments in Cádiz, Menorca and Barcelona, as well as in the Balearic and Canary Islands. Beyond Spain, it has also developed projects by adapting its own collections to each specific environment for Riu in Madeira, Senegal, Tanzania and Cape Verde.

Furthermore, Decorluc has broadened its market in 2022 by undertaking decorative lighting designs for retail sector companies in Barcelona and the Balearic Islands, as well as tailor-made creative solutions for clients in the residential market looking for solutions offering unique personality. Esther López Valenzuela, Executive Managing Director of Decorluc, said “We are thrilled to be given the opportunity to apply all the experience we have gained in large spaces and hotel chains to the personal projects of those seeking the very best results for their business or homes. At the end of the day, these are life projects in which every detail counts and makes a difference. The choice of unique lighting materials and designs therefore brings personality and creates the atmosphere people want to convey”.
These new projects boost the experience that the company, based in Llinars del Vallés (Barcelona), has built over its more than 50-year history as metal and decoration artisans through lighting; often working in partnership with interior design workshops of international standing. Through meticulous work and the use of premium materials by its team of artisans and creative professionals, Decorluc creates exclusive and unique spaces with a focus on light.

By the end of 2022, the company expects to have surpassed the number of projects it completed the previous year with up to a total of 25 in Europe, America, Asia and Africa.
